Isautier white rum is an agricultural rum, made from the pure juice of sugar cane.
This is a rum you can use to make rhum arrangés, while retaining the fresh cane aromas characteristic of rhums agricoles, or enjoy as a ti'punch.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is lively and powerful, developing on a dry, fresh cane. The rind and flesh are peppery, ripe, neither too green nor too round. A hint of fresh fruit quickly reveals itself, and we're right in Reunion Island, with its lychees and longanis.
Aeration takes us to a more mature, mellow and tender cane, which never loses its aplomb. This gives way to lovely notes of fermentation, with hints of olives in brine and lemons preserved in salt.
The palate is intense and straightforward, echoing all the elements encountered on the nose. The rich fermentation notes are the first to kick in, offering an immediate sensation of authenticity. Then fresh cane brings minerality and spice. Finally, fresh, slightly bitter berries maintain the intensity.
The finish is light, the rum does not weigh down the taste buds and fades away cleanly.
"A true rhum agricole that presents itself simply and sincerely. An invitation to ti'punch... "
