Karukera Shrubb is anorange liqueur traditionally prepared in the West Indies for the Christmas season. It's an infusion of orange peel made in quality agricultural rum, made exclusively from blue cane. The liqueur is then sweetened with cane sugar produced on Basse-Terre.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, sweet orange peel unfurls generously, set against an agricultural rum that adds freshness and a subtle vegetal note. We catch a glimpse of vanilla, like a balm that coats the whole a little more.
The palate is very soft and sweet, and sticks to the palate and lips. This liqueur is full of citrus essential oils, with mandarin and orange, but also a hint of lemon juice.
"A very greedy and sweet shrubb, to be drunk well chilled and even on ice..."
