The raw material on which this Schrubb premium released in 2017 is based is Longueteau distillery's white agricultural rum with fresh cane aromas.
Sun-dried orange peel, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg and coffee beans are macerated in this cane-sugar-enriched rum.
This schrubb was bottled after spending some time in new French oak barrels.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose gives the impression of a very natural shrubb, with various carefully selected and carefully dried citrus peels. All the sweetness of the cane has been retained, with a little sugar and fine spices. A very pretty nose, chiselled and elegant.
The palate is subtle, complex and, frankly, delicious. The citrus peel is candied and cocoa-like, with a hint of dried herbs. The spice cocktail is finely balanced, for a profile that's mastered from start to finish.
"Simply the best shrubb I've ever tasted..."
