Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique is a single malt whisky. It is produced in the northeast of the island of Taiwan, in Yilan County.
At Kavalan, “Solist” is the name of the collection which consists of single casks bottled at their natural strength.
Here we are lucky to offer you an edition called “Vinho Barrique”. This means that the aging was done in the best wine barrels available to the cellar master.
This edition comes from cask W170112051D which produced 184 numbered bottles. The color is natural and the final product has not undergone chill filtration.
In 2015, a vintage from this famous collection won the title of best single malt in the world.
