Kavalan is an ambitious Taiwanese distillery. Located in the north-east of the island, it was founded by the King Car group, owned by Mr Lee.

The history of the Kavalan distillery

To produce quality whisky, Kavalan decided to employ Dr. Jim Swan. Jim Swan is consulted on numerous occasions by distilleries under construction for his expertise. He establishes a style and implements production down to the smallest detail, while adapting to the peculiarities of the Taiwanese environment.

He recruited Ian Chang, a renowned master blender, to launch the distillery in the best possible conditions.

Whisky production begins in March 2006, and it's a real success! Kavalan has won numerous international awards. One of the reasons for this recognition is the quality of the casks used.

The range

The range includes Kavalan Classic, Kavalan Concertmaster, King Car Conductor, Kavalan ex-Bourbon Oak, Kavalan Oloroso Sherry Cask and Kavalan Podium.
