La Favorite Brut 2 Colonnes 73.4° - harvest 2020 is the second edition of La Favorite's brut de colonne. This small, family-run AOC Martinique distillery produces an agricultural rum in an authentic environment, still powered by a steam engine. The atmosphere of this unique terroir is beautifully captured by Lucas Vallerie, the artist behind the label.
This rum was distilled in May 2020, using two separate Creole columns. The 1957 copper column is the one behind the brand's Coeur de Canne, while the copper and stainless steel column, installed in 1986, usually produces the Authentique white rum. The two distillates were then blended, with no reduction in alcohol content, in February 2021. 2500 bottles are available, all hand-sealed with wax.
