Longueteau Symphonie batch 12 rum is, like its predecessor, a blend of different old agricultural rums over 3 years old.
The cellar master has selected vintages aged in ex-cognac oak barrels and in new oak barrels.
The rum was bottled cask strength, that is to say without reduction, and has an alcohol content of 51.2°.
Longueteau's Harmonie range is a step up in maturity and complexity:
- Prelude introduces the house's new style of wood, still a little young, more on new oak, and marked by white rum.
- Symphonie reveals a mature woodiness and a rum that is beginning to age, not to mention the freshness of the cane.
- Concerto is by far the oldest of the three, with a worked woodiness, melted notes and a generous texture.
