This peaty whisky comes from the Japanese Tsunuki distillery built in 2016. It is located in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is the second distillery of the Mars Whisky brand belonging to the Hombo Shuzo group.
Distilled in 2018, this single malt whisky began its maturation on July 12 of the same year. With a phenolic content of 20 ppm, it is the result of 5 years of aging in American oak barrels.
The bottling on May 15, 2024 of the T803 barrel was done without reduction and without cold filtration.
