Mezan Nicaragua 2013 is a molasses rum produced in a multi-column still by the country's only distillery, Compañia Licorera de Nicaragua in Chichigalpa.
The 10-year-old rum was aged in the tropics for 4 years, then on the European continent for a further 6 years. The entire aging process was carried out in American white oak barrels that had previously contained bourbon.
Bottling took place in 2023, with no additions (apart from reduction water) and no cold filtration.
