Nikka Discovery edition 2022 features the Yoichi distillery, founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru on the island of Hokkaido, and the Miyagikyo distillery, founded in 1969 and located near Sendai.
Here, a single malt from the Yoichi distillery has been selected. For this 2022 edition, a low-temperature fermenting yeast gives the whisky the floral and fruity aromas of Ginjo-type sake.
