In 2024, the Papalin range launched in 2021 is enriched with a blend of Jamaican rums. As a reminder, this range was born from the desire of Lucas Gargano who wanted to revive a blend created in 2003.
This “Overproof” vintage is composed of a blend of three molasses rums distilled in pot stills. Each rum is aged for 5 years in the tropics, in its original distillery.
It is bottled here with a lower reduction than the 47° version of this blend.
The blend being identical to the Papalin 5 year old Jamaica High Ester version, it is composed of the following three rums:
- a rum from the Worthy Park distillery whose WPL marks display an ester content of between 60 and 120 g/hlap at the still outlet,
- a rum displaying the STCE marks from Long Pond with an ester content of between 550 and 700 g/hlap after distillation,
- un rhum de chez Hampden avec le marks C<>H et son taux d’esters compris entre 1300 et 1400 g/hlap lors de la distillation.
