Pink Pigeon rum is produced on the Médine estate in Mauritius, which includes a rum distillery and a sugar refinery just a few meters apart. The sugar refinery supplies the distillery with sugar-rich molasses.

Pink Pigeon is a rum flavored with vanilla, wild orchid petals and orange zests. The Bourbon vanilla used comes exclusively from the neighboring islands of Madagascar and Réunion, while the oranges and orchids are sourced from Mauritius.

Pink Pigeon Rum can be drunk chilled, over ice, or in cocktails (Mojito, Daiquiri).

Nico's tasting notes

The nose opens on a light rum with notes that are as vanilla-flavored as they are softly vegetal. Cane sugar in syrup coats the entire profile, and the glass needs to be turned a little to release the aromas.

After aeration, the sugar syrup still has a cozy appearance, almost reminiscent of the softness of a marshmallow with its surface powdered with powdered sugar. The nose remains very light, with hints of strawberry and vanilla gently wafting from the bottom of the glass.

The attack on the palate is fuller than the nose could have shown. An initial wave of vanilla and sugar syrup invades and coats the palate, before the taste buds briefly close in on coffee and sweet spices. The fruity, slightly marshmallow-like aromas then blossom in this very "candy" framework.

The finish is sparkling and spicy, with the alcohol coming back to add a little pep.
