Plantation Rum 2013 Barbados is the 5th opus in the Under the Sea collection. After Panama, Jamaica, Fiji and Guyana, it's time for Barbados.
This cuvée is a blend of 20 casks selected by Alexandre Gabriel, the Cellar Master of Plantation rums.
The rums from these casks were distilled in 2013 in iron and column stills at West Indies Rum Distillery.
They were aged for 8 years in 200-liter bourbon casks in the tropics. The blend was then matured for 12 months in 20 400-liter French oak barrels.
This second ageing took place in Javrezac, in south-west France.
