Plantation Rum Barbados 2011-2022 Maury Cask Finish 48.1°: Description and customer reviews

Plantation Rum Barbados 2011 is a rum produced by West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD). This Barbados distillery belongs to the Ferrand cognac house, which also owns Plantation rums.
Each year, Plantation releases a series of rums for its Single Casks collection. This cuvée is part of the 2022 selection.

Here we offer a blend of pot still and column distilled rums, all produced in 2011.
These rums are made from molasses fermented for 3 to 4 days.

Initial aging took place on the island of Barbados in bourbon casks for 4 years. The rum was then imported to France and transferred to Ferrand cognac casks for a further 6 years.
Maturing ended with 9 months in a barrel of Maury wine from the Roussillon region.
