This vintage of old Planteray rum comes from the Fiji Islands. It is a rum produced by Rum & Co of Fiji, the only distillery in this archipelago. It is located in the city of Lautoka.
Distilled from molasses in 2001 in a pot still, this expression displays an ester content of 189 g/hlap.
This expression has benefited from two-stage breeding:
- a first maturation in bourbon barrels under the tropical climate for 19 years,
- then a second 4-year aging in a cognac barrel in the heart of the Maison Ferrand cellars.
