Rest & Be Thankful 24 years Long Pond is a molasses rum produced in the parish of Trelawny in Jamaica.
It was distilled in 1998 at the Long Pond distillery. This is a light distillate: the ITP mark means that esters are between 90 and 120 g/hlap.
Here, esters peak at 91.2g/hlap.
The rum was aged in American oak barrels on April 24, 1998. It benefited from tropical aging before further maturation in Scotland.
The angels' share is over 47%, resulting in a total of 178 bottles.
This cask, number 1756, was bottled on September 5, 2022. The color is natural, as no additions have been made and the rum has not been filtered.
