Ron de Jeremy XXXO single batch 2019 is a special edition produced for former adult film actor Ron Jeremy. It is to his singular career that the term " XXXO " pays homage.
The oldest rum in the blend is 27 years old. It was distilled in 1991 in Trinidad, and aged in American white oak barrels.
An 18-year-old rum distilled by Foursquare in Barbados also accounts for 12.5% of the blend. For added indulgence, rums from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Panama are also included.
4772 bottles were produced, with no added coloring or sugar.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, this rum is marked by typically toasty, slightly caramelized American oak. Toasty, smoky notes coexist with fine vanilla and a few cocoa-coated almonds.
Aeration reveals more toasty notes, but without the char. Instead, they are rounded and enveloped, sprinkled with sweet spices. Full-bodied nuts are in the background, providing a pleasant sweetness with a little rest.
The palate is very light and fluid, with a delicate texture that settles gently on the palate. The more toasty aromas melt into a softly spiced rum. Vanilla and coconut release their flavors in measured tones, joined by tobacco, cinnamon and a hint of tonka bean.
The finish is light and the rum does not overwhelm the palate. A light vanilla coconut milk remains.
