Rum Runner Jamaican Rum is a molasses rum with a typical Jamaican profile. It is a permanent edition produced in the south of the island by the Clarendon distillery.
The rum is distilled in an iron still, then placed in ex-bourbon oak barrels to benefit from 5 years' ageing in a continental climate.
The French Rum Runner brand pays tribute to the high-speed ships that transported barrels of contraband liquor to the United States during the Prohibition era. The most famous ship's captain was Bill McCoy, renowned for the quality of his rums because he was the only one not to cut the alcohol with dubious products.
