At the end of October 2025, more than 70 sailboats set off from Le Havre for a transatlantic crossing to Martinique, for the Transat Café l'Or , formerly known as the Transat Jacques-Vabre.
To celebrate this landmark event, the Saint James distillery presents a new vintage specially crafted for the occasion: a 10-year-old rum, distilled in a Creole column still and aged in 200-liter second-use American oak barrels. This aging choice reflects the desire to preserve the finesse and delicacy of the aromas of the original rhum agricole, without the oak becoming overpowering, as explained by Marc Sassier , the distillery's Master Rum Maker.
This precious vintage is offered in a limited edition of only 1,890 bottles, of which 1,260 are intended for the mainland.
