The Mauny Flower Edition is a warm tribute to the island of Martinique from the distillery. The island's ancient name, Madinina, translates as "island of flowers".
This white rum in a beautifully designed bottle is perfect for ti-punch.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose greets us with very sweet cane juice, in a cottony atmosphere. In the background, a few more vegetal notes, with a bitter base of lime zest and pepper. The cane fiber is juicy, bursting with sugar, and the straw is moist.
The breath of this rum is soft and warm. The nose is supple, softly floral and silky. Bitterness and pepper are always in the background, like a base, a foundation. The agricultural identity takes on a fuller, more powerful character, making you want to make a nice ti-punch. This fullness gives way to ripe fruit, including mango, apricot and white peach.
On the palate, the attack is masterful. The natural cane is highlighted, then plunges into fermentation. Lime zest, pepper and a dry, vegetal note provide structure. As it spreads out, the rum becomes drier on the edges of the tongue, but releases its grip quickly enough to eventually become rather rounded. It is then calmer, and even slightly candied.
The finish is true to the style of the rhum blanc agricole, on cane, bagasse and pepper.
"A very nice white rum, without extravagance, fine enough to be appreciated in tasting and authentic enough for a tasty ti-punch..."

Very good value for money.

Excellent white rhum agricole, perfect for ti-punch but appreciates perfectly dry.
Everything you'd expect from a good white rhum agricole: fresh cane, citrus fruit, a hint of pepper, but the whole is very well balanced and quite smooth, this rum is almost round. The alcohol melts quite well, it's pleasant to drink, and in ti-punch it's a marvel. No mistake for La Mauny at this price.
