Saint James and Velier have teamed up to present a collection of 10 emblematic vintages representative of the 25 years of AOC Martinique, which were celebrated in 2022.
The selection was made by Jean-Claude Benoit, Marc Sassier and Luca Gargano. The former is one of the founders of the AOC Martinique in 1996 and current General Manager of the Saint James distillery, the latter is Cellar Master at this distillery and current President of the AOC Martinique. Luca Gargano is head of Velier, the bottler/distributor of the famous black bottles.
The series features vintages from 1998 to 2015, from the year Marc Sassier joined the Martinique AOC as oenologist to the 250th anniversary of the Saint James distillery.
