Sample X Bonne Mère is a molasses rum produced by the Bonne Mère distillery in Sainte-Rose, Guadeloupe. The factory closed in 1973, but the distillery is still in operation today.
This is a rum that has matured for 3 years in the island's tropical climate, before being transferred to an ex-bourbon barrel in Europe for a further 3 years.
This 6-year-old rum was bottled brut de fût and without cold filtration in 2021. A total of 242 bottles were drawn from this unique cask.
This bottling is the fruit of a collaboration between Jürgen Vromans (The Rum Mercenary) and Erik Molenaar (Kintra Spirits).
