Santiago de Cuba Carta Blanca is a light molasses rum in the ron ligero cubano tradition. It is produced according to the traditions of the Santiago de Cuba region.
The bottle bears the D.O.P. CUBA label, which means it complies with the Protected Designation of Origin.
This rum is column-distilled from Cuban sugarcane molasses. It is then aged for 3 years in oak barrels before undergoing charcoal filtration.

This is the best rum I've found for Mojitos!
White rums usually aren't very good, this one is pleasantly dry (being aged in oak barrels but charcoal filtered).
Older rums don't go as well with lime and mint in my opinion, this one tastes fresher, without the funk of Jamaican rums.
