The Swell & Co collection is enriched with an 8th vintage with a very old French eau-de-vie.
Let's go to Normandy, and more precisely to Saint-Cyr-du-Bailleul in the Domfrontais region. This is a Calvados Domfrontais AOC from the Guesdon family estate. We owe this selection to Alexandre Vingtier who really fell in love with this example of know-how passed down from generation to generation.
This selection probably corresponds to one of the first calvados distilled at the estate. Aged 48 years, it has aged in oak barrels in a humid cellar. Its color is natural and it was not cold filtered before bottling in July 2024. Only 80 bottles were produced.
Alexandre Vingtier is a recognized expert in the world of spirits, he is the author of numerous books on rum and whisky. He is also co-founder and editor-in-chief of Rumporter magazine.
