Takamaka 2019 Le Clos Series ex-whisky X Palo Cortado is an agricultural rum made in the Seychelles on the island of Mahé. The cane comes from the fields around the Trois-Frères distillery.
This 2019 vintage rum has been aged in two types of casks. Aging is broken down as follows:
- initial maturation in new French oak barrels for 3 years
- a 6-month maturation in an old Palo Cortado Sherry cask, which was also used to age a Scotch single malt whisky.
This single barrel, bottled in April 2023, produced 423 numbered bottles.
