Takamaka Rum Blanc is a molasses rum produced in the Seychelles at the Trois Frères distillery, built in 2002 in La Plaine Saint-André.
Sugar cane is grown and harvested by hand on the granite soil of the island of Mahé. The eau-de-vie, 94° at the exit of the distillation column, is blended with pot still high ester. The rum is then reduced with local spring water to bottling strength.
It's a light rum that goes well with classics like the Mojito, Cuba Libre, Daiquiri or Piña Colada.
