Takamaka Zepis Kreol is a spiced rum from Mahé Island, Seychelles. It is produced by the Trois Frères distillery on the La Plaine St André plantation estate, surrounded by exotic gardens.
Sugar cane is grown on rich, natural granite soil. Molasses rum is distilled in iron and column stills. It is macerated with natural, locally-grown spices, before being pressed with fine particles of ex-merlot wood. 8-year-old Bajan Foursquare rum is added, then the whole is aged for 60 days in very old American ex-bourbon casks.
