Florian's tasting notes
The color is amber gold. Many tears, thin and fast.
The nose is massive, powerful, on sherry and orange, with a nice dose of caramel and plum. A pleasant nutty return makes you want to taste it. A few drops of water will calm its ardor and open a door to cooked pear, cinnamon and raisins.
Powerful opening in the mouth , full focus on the sherry; cocoa, hazelnut combined with toasted almonds and vanilla. Some small dried fruits. Orange zest and old wood have a beautiful place. The finish reveals leather and tobacco. A small amount of water will reveal the white fruits and prunes.
Long finish on nuts, honey toast and tobacco.
“An original whisky. Powerful and complex. Very rich aromatic palette. Tamdhu at cask strength, it works…”
