Transat des arrangés bourguignons "Flibustier" is a rum arrangéthat takes you from Burgundy to Trinidad and Jamaica. On a base of rums from these two origins, Burgundy's Charbonnaud has macerated mandarins, caramel and vanilla. Spices and citrus fruits add pep and warmth. As with the Transat Rhums from the same house, this is above all an invitation to travel.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, a great armful of aromas suddenly arrives. In this generous basket, we find coconut, licorice, aniseed and mandarin peel, in a colorful, tangy atmosphere.
On the palate, the roundness of the rum mellows this profusion of aromas. The aniseed part of the taste surprisingly takes over, evoking a sweet pastis. There's also a hint of licorice and sweet spices.
"A surprising arrangé, with a very aniseed-flavored profile..."
