This 8-year-old rum comes from the Saint James distillery. Founded in 1765, it is the oldest and largest distillery in Martinique.
Distilled in a Creole column still, this vintage is the result of blending two rums from the 2003 and 2010 vintages. Bottling was done in the distillery so that the vintage would benefit from the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Rhum Agricole.
The exclusive edition presented here is a piece from the “Magnum Series #2” collection. This series, launched in 2021, comes from the collaboration between La Maison & Velier and the Magnum press agency. After a first series in honor of photographer Elliott Erwitt, the choice fell on photographer Alex Webb for this second edition.
