Born from the expertise of Nicolas Kröger, a former bartender turned spirits producer, Ida van der Ille is a spiced rum crafted by the Wagemut Produktion GmbH distillery in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Formerly known as N. Kröger Spiced and then N. Kröger Frühstücks Rum, it was renamed Ida van der Ille as a nod to the vanilla that defines its signature flavor.
This rum is a blend of Caribbean rums from Panama , Trinidad , Barbados , and, in a subtle note, Jamaica , aged between 3 and 8 years in American white oak barrels . It is then blended with genuine Madagascar vanilla beans, used whole, without powder, extract, or artificial flavoring, for a natural and authentic sweetness.
Bottled at 33.2% ABV in 50cl format, Ida van der Ille will appeal to both lovers of spiced rums and novices in search of smoothness, to be enjoyed neat, on ice, or in a cocktail.
