William Hinton 3 ans is a tribute to a great name in Madeira rum. This Englishman landed on the island in the mid-19th century and developed the sugar and rum industry, setting up the country's largest factory/distillery.
The original distillery closed in 1986, but the Engenho Novo team rehabilitated its distillation column. It continued to produce a traditional agricultural rum, aged for 3 years in French oak barrels.
