Branca agricole blanc is an agricultural rum from Madeira. In other words, it's an "aguardente de cana branca", "white", not aged. This pure cane juice rum comes from Engenhos Do Norte ("Mills of the North"), the island's largest distillery.
After column distillation, the rum is reduced and bottled at 40%. It is ideal for preparing poncha, Madeira's traditional drink, the recipe for which is printed on the back of the bottle.
