The El Llano distillery, the oldest in operation in Tequila in the state of Jalisco (1900), is the source of production.
The Orendain brothers, who run it, use iron stills and bourbon casks, and even offer single casks.

For the record, the brand's name and equine emblem pay tribute to Arete. In 1948, this horse won the show jumping event at the London Olympic Games. Ridden by Mexican general Humberto Mariles Cortés, together they were the only double winners in the discipline. Read less
