Eminente is a brand created in 2020, as part of a collaboration between the Moët Hennessy group (LVMH) and the Cuban government. It is the Cuba Ron entity that supplies the aguardientes and light rums needed for the blending. This is carried out by the maestro ronero Cesar Marti, and includes a particularly high proportion of aguardientes. These full-flavoured molasses spirits make up 70% of the blend. They are complemented by light rums that add vivacity.
The 7-year ageing process takes place in oak barrels that have previously contained whisky. The bottle is adorned with scales, reminiscent of Cuba's nickname: the crocodile island. This Eminente rum also has the DOP Ron de Cuba. This designation certifies the origin as well as the seriousness of its elaboration. Read less
