Junipero

Junipero gin comes from Anchor Distilling Company, San Fransisco. The company was founded in 1993 by Fritz Maytag, a leading figure in craft beer, who acquired Anchor Brewing in 1965.

Fritz Maytag then turned his attention to distillation. He sought to produce whiskeys (Old Potrero) and gins using iron stills. In 1996, the recipe for Junipero gin was perfected with the help of Bruce Joseph.

Junipero thus became the first craft gin of the modern era.

Since then, Junipero' s reputation has grown and he regularly wins international awards.

On the strength of this success, Junipero is not developing a complex range and is concentrating on its 49.3% Junipero Gin. Read less
