Bayou Single Barrel Red Wine Finish Batch 2 is a limited edition molasses rum produced in the United States, in Louisiana.
Molasses is made from locally grown sugar cane in the southern part of the state. It comes from the oldest family-owned sugar mill in the United States . The rum was fermented with yeast from the cane, before being distilled in 2016 in a copper pot still.
Batch no. 2 is aged for 3 years on site in California red wine barrels, using the solera method, taking advantage of the warmth of the Gulf of Mexico.
