Branca agricole blanc 50° is a Madeira agricultural rum, like Branca agricole blanc 40°.
Here, it is reduced and bottled at 50°. This version adds a little extra kick to the traditional Madeira Poncha, the recipe for which is given on the back of the bottle.
This pure cane juice rum is produced in a column still at the Engenhos Do Norte distillery.
Madeira is one of the few destinations able to qualify its pure cane juice rum as "rhum agricole", along with Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana and Réunion.
