This rum is presented in a beautiful decanter.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is golden.
The nose is woody, dominated by oak, and relatively greedy. Aromas of vanilla and honey appear, while a slight vegetal note makes its way into the background. Discreet notes of nuts complete the aromatic profile.
On the palate, it's dry and again well oaked. We have the classic aromas of a "ron", with vanilla and caramel. This palate is simpler than the nose and offers less, although a discrete roasted impression makes a brief appearance.
The finish is rather long and dry. Oak dominates once again, accompanied by vanilla.
romain
Rather closed nose. Vegetal and sweet notes.
Taste: Woody, slightly sweet, with a hint of caramel. There's a hint of vanilla too.
Final: Short
A rum to enjoy with a little pastry. To be tested, but I'm not thrilled by the experience. Far below a Centenario 25 or even 20. However, it's still a fairly pleasant rum.
