Florian's tasting notes

The color is amber with long, rapid tears.

On the nose, thick, creamy, with macadamia nut, nutmeg, marzipan and pink pepper. Floral: lilac and violet. Lovely returns of leather, old wood and pastry. All in all, a gourmet experience.

The palate is drier than the nose suggested, with a creamy texture dominated by pink pepper and spices. Nutmeg and leather are present. Baked apple appears. Very pleasant lilac notes develop in the length. Floral, sweet and bitter all at once. A balanced woodiness.

A very long finish on flowers and nutmeg.

"Beautifully made, characterful and well balanced. This Heaven Hill Bourbon is very pleasant..."

On the nose 👃🏻: it's very greedy, sweet and very fruity with citrus fruits, essentially orange and a small dose of lemon. It's round, very caramelized and vanilla-flavored, with a hint of cinnamon and very moderate woodiness for an 8-year-old product that delivers a sweet note of nuts. After aeration in the glass, it turns more towards orange peel and almost clove, with oak attempting a breakthrough.

On the palate 👅: this is a little drier than I'd imagined at first sip. Very vanilla-flavored above all, it would almost make you think of a Wheated Bourbon, rather sweet. There's a lovely blond caramel in the mouth, giving way to pepper and cinnamon. As for the woodiness, it's virtually absent, with barely a hint of oak. The following sips are more greasy and gourmand, reminiscent of butterscotch, with a fatty, unctuous side in terms of flavor.

The finish is quite long. It now delivers subtly on red fruit notes with vanilla persisting effortlessly from start to finish. It's not overly complex, but beautifully greedy, and not so dry in the end 👌

Another product that I think is worth a detour in this price range. It's not a Bourbon with a strong typicity, but it will appeal to the greatest number of people 😊
