This Montebello 24-year-old has been selected by the Ricci Family at Main Rum, Liverpool.
This is a blend of a molasses rum and an agricultural rum. These two rums were distilled in 1998. This practice was common in Guadeloupe until a few years ago. This blend was aged for 24 years in a bourbon barrel. Part of this ageing took place in the tropics, and the rest in the UK.
No additives have been added to this rum. It was not reduced before bottling, in the South of France. A total of 120 bottles were produced.
