Tjè Kann Edition 2023 is a rum from La Favorite which bears the precious AOC Martinique label.
This festive rum is a blend of several white rums from the 2022 harvest.
The 1-liter bottle is adorned with a colorful silk-screen print reminiscent of the festive world.
Its name is a Creole expression meaning "heart of cane".
It is a limited edition of 10,668 bottles.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose , the rum rolls up like a velvety ribbon of sugar cane, in a swirl of white flowers, pepper berries, sweet plants. The cane juice is perfectly ripe, full of sunshine, it takes with it all the Martinican nature.
Aeration brings a little marine breath, slightly mineral and iodized, which gives firmness and character to the whole. A little zest of lime is also added to give this same direction.
In the mouth , it is first of all the roundness of the rum which surprises and flatters the palate. The cane takes on a series of colors that range from green, fresh and chlorophyll, to the red of raspberry and bitter cherry. The pepper, typical of La Favorite, is relatively discreet here, it is melted in a bagasse rich in sugar.
The finish is clean and fresh, rather sweet, with a hint of pepper that tickles the tip of the tongue.
