Born from the encounter between Guillaume Ferroni and Nicolas Pagnol, Pastis Taoumé pays homage to the landscapes and Provençal heritage so dear to Marcel Pagnol. Its name refers to Taoumé, an emblematic peak in the Garlaban massif, in the hills of Provence. This creation from Maison Ferroni combines the world of spirits with that of Provençal literature, showcasing wild plants harvested on the lands of the Marcel Pagnol Endowment Fund, around the Bastide Neuve in Allauch.
The recipe relies on a selection of fresh aromatic plants harvested from their natural environment. Bay leaf , thyme , rosemary , sage , and fennel are among the ingredients, along with star anise and licorice . Aleppo pine completes this botanical blend, echoing the Mediterranean vegetation of the Garlaban hills. The plants are hand-picked and then processed according to Maison Ferroni's expertise to preserve the connection between the recipe and its terroir.
This project brings together two complementary approaches: that of Guillaume Ferroni, a spirits creator passionate about traditional production methods, and that of Nicolas Pagnol, who contributes to keeping his grandfather's cultural legacy alive. The botanicals come from a protected Provençal region, renowned for its rich biodiversity, giving this creation a strong local connection.
