This Grosperrin N°25 Grande Champagne is an extremely rare cognac with mysterious origins, which was not initially intended to be bottled.
Made from a single 400-liter cask, this cognac has been in the Grosperrin stock for many years. It has probably undergone some blending with other cognacs of the same age, as sometimes happens with some of the non-vintage casks. This cognac is therefore not a single estate.
It was in 2015, during an inventory, that Guilhem Grosperrin became aware of its exceptional quality, as if a fairy had suddenly taken care of its fate. Since then, this cask has been carefully monitored and has continued to improve over the years.
The decision was taken in March 2019 to bottle it as is, without any special treatment or addition of other elements.
