Ichiro's Malt Wine Wood Reserve is a Blended Malt from Japan. Like the rest of the range, it is made from casks from Chichibu and the former Hanyu distillery. But this edition also contains a Scottish single malt.
The whiskies were aged in old red wine barrels, before being blended. After this stage, they were matured in French oak Ovum (egg-shaped) casks, made by Taransaud's Meilleurs Ouvriers de France from Charente.
