From the depths of the Caribbean, the legend of the Kraken continues to fascinate. Mythology tells us that, in an attempt to repel the beast's attacks, sailors of the Seven Seas used to carry crates of black cherries and vanilla pods from Madagascar. The mixture of these two ingredients was believed to soothe the pain of wounds inflicted by the Kraken. During a particularly violent attack, an isolated barrel of spiced rum is said to have been infused with this combination of black cherry and vanilla, hence this unique recipe.
This variant is based on the brand's signature spiced rum, Black Spiced, made in Trinidad and Tobago from molasses , here enriched with aromas of black cherries and Madagascar vanilla .
