Kraken is a brand created in 2010 by the American company Proximo Spirits. It includes a varied range of spirits (Tequila, Vodka, Bourbon whiskey...) but above all a rum distilled in the Caribbean and arranged with a selection of spices. It is the object of an original marketing approach in a sector where tradition is mostly emphasised.

Proximo Spirits is itself a recent company, having been founded in 2007. Founded by the Beckmann family, originally from Mexico, the company has established itself in the American state of New Jersey.

Kraken rum is now famous for its ear bottle, its dark colour, but also its unreduced production which makes it a powerful rum. Read less
