An agricultural rum made entirely atHabitation La Favorite, Cœur d'ambre, golden with wood tannins, is aged for 18 months in oak tuns.

Nico's tasting notes
The rum is very fresh on the nose. There's no doubt that this is a true rhum agricole. The cane is fresh and juicy, and the pepper is well integrated. The white rhum agricole on which this cuvée is based is slightly mellowed by its time in foudre (a foudre is a kind of large oak vat), just the right amount. The memory of its terroir is expressed: the balance between earth and cane juice, between dry and round, is established for a charming, authentic nose. Velvety floral notes like rose hint at a silky rum.
Shaking the glass releases the rum's drier character. It's now more about the fiber of the cane or the straw of the cane. But there's still that intensity, that pleasant breath of fresh air. The balance is quickly restored, giving us a gourmet cane with a hint of acidity. Some fresh exotic fruits have been invited in, and even green apples are part of the party. Pepper is not forgotten, and the profile is already quite complete for such a young rum.
The pepper asserts itself unmistakably on the palate, carrying the cane away in a deluge of intense hail. The rum is structured, with the fiber of the cane and a dry, vegetal edge. But the pepper doesn't let up, assailing the palate with a truly spicy, pungent and warming sensation, like a chili pepper.
The pepper lingers on the finish, the tongue still hot and the spices crackling.
