The House of Rhum Tradition Anglaise XO 45°: Description and customer reviews

La Maison du Rhum is heading to the British West Indies with this vintage of extra-old rum.

The aim of this blend is to highlight the terroir and the know-how of the distilleries through traditional English rums. There are three origins with Jamaica, Trinidad and Saint Lucia.
This vintage is to be compared to its cousins which are La Tradition Française XO and La Tradition Espagnole XO .

Jérémie's tasting notes

On the nose: vanilla and caramel rise from the glass, getting closer reveals notes of maceration, varnish, very ripe exotic fruits accompanied by honey and almond milk.

On the palate: the attack is fluid, slightly spicy and herbaceous, it releases aromas of cooked cane and yellow fruits, which become candied and develop a more exotic profile (banana and mango), the spices envelop everything, cinnamon and clove in the lead, the herbaceous notes which were in the background become more present.

The finish: on spices and herbaceous notes.

If you like it, we recommend :

  • French style rum...
