Encantada Armagnac XO GNAC is a blend of Bas-Armagnacs, some of which have spent 20 or 30 years in Gascony black oak barrels.
Created in 2011 by a group of passionate friends, l'Encantada is a small trading house that selects rare and exceptional products. Vincent, Christelle and Frédéric decided to create their own collection of forgotten elixirs. Their aim is to humbly introduce visitors to the know-how and history of this 700-year-old spirit.
Regarding this bottle, Frédéric confides: "We wanted to appeal to a younger audience, to rejuvenate the image of Armagnac with our XO GNAC. With GNAC, several interpretations are possible: to have 'gnaque', to have bite, or the spirit of competition, in short, dynamism, which perhaps characterizes us. But back home in Gascony, it's also an abbreviation for Armagnac.
It was bottled "brut de fût" at the Vic-Fezensac winery, with no added coloring, sugar or water.
